Why is this guy talking about driveways and Van Isle Rubber Surfacing on a travel, health and wellness website you may be asking yourself
Well, I am all for any eco-friendly-go green products out there in the marketplace, that have a positive impact on our environment. I had my driveway and back patio resurfaced, with an environmentally conscientious rubber surfacing product.
One that utilizes; recycled rubber materials.
Not only is it {Eco Friendly}, but it’s a fraction of the cost of removing my existing asphalt driveway.
It’s a much more effective and eco-friendly alternative, to that of having all the existing asphalt removed and hauled away somewhere.
Only to be dumped and then resurfaced with new asphalt.

Our Selected Project – Before Photos
These photos show our driveway and front door porch area, before resurfacing.
The entire surface was sun baked with; large cracks, dips and with uneven sections throughout.
Front Door Porch Area:
It consisted of concrete with embedded small rocks. The concrete was all old and cracked, with the rocks becoming loose constantly.
A real mess!!
Below, is our driveway portion located at the side of the house, where we park our recreational vehicle trailer. This part was a real mess and eye sore, all cracked and sloping badly!
Back Covered Porch Area:
As you can see, our back porch was an unpainted plain concrete surface. We were continually having to pressure wash the area to keep it clean.
Adding an attractive eco-friendly rubber surface, will definitely be a big improvement to the overall look of the porch.
Our Selected Project – Installing Rubber Surface
Once the rubber mixture is prepared, it is then poured onto the surface and carefully troweled by the installers.
We were able to pick from a variety of colors available, that flowed nicely with the color of our home and trim.
Our Selected Project – Completed
The finished job was absolutely amazing. We couldn’t believe the transformation from old asphalt, to the new improved rubber surface look!
In wrapping things up, if you are in the market for a; driveway, patio, sidewalk or swimming pool surface project and more, then consider an eco-friendly rubber surface alternative.
We were so glad we chose this for our driveway, front porch and back patio!
