Planning Our Private Safari In Tanzania
I enjoyed numerous exciting conversations with the owner and staff of; Tanzania Footmark Safaris, while planning the perfect {Safari Expedition} for my wife and I. This was done easily while back home in Canada, via; WhatsApp and by email.
They responded to all my questions and concerns quickly and at any time of the day or night. This was just one of the many reasons we selected Footmark, from the literally hundreds of other; Safari Tour Businesses located in Tanzania.
A complete personalized travel itinerary was put together that included;
A detailed day to day travel itinerary, complete with website links to our accommodation of choice, photographs and much more. This was a total Private Safari In Tanzania package itinerary designed specifically for us.

Our Exclusive Private Safari In Tanzania
As we were traveling halfway around the world, we decided to be away for a total of one month. Half our vacation would be on safari, and the other half spent on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar.
We both decided at the end of our vacation, that a much shorter duration for the safari, would have been more suitable for us. Your days are full, from early morning to supper time in the evening!
We chose late September to visit, which is the tail end of the dry season.
The days are still hot, dusty and dry on safari, but the amazing migration of the; wildebeests and zebras are still taking place.
As well, it’s still a great time to visit the Island and Beaches of; Zanzibar!
National Parks and Conservation Areas
We visited a number of {National Parks and Conservation Areas} while on our Safari. These included;
Arusha – Tarangire National Park, Serengeti {Central & Northern},
Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater
We also enjoyed a number of nature hikes, one of which was the {Materuni Waterfalls}, in Moshi Region.
One of the highlights of our safari expedition, was taking the early morning {Hot Air Balloon} excursion in Northern Serengeti, traveling over the beautiful Mara River.
This was amazing and I highly recommend adding this adventure to your itinerary if at all possible. Be sure to check my post and photos in the link shown below.

Recommendations
As mentioned, after our Private Safari In Tanzania experience, we found our itinerary to be a bit long and exhausting. A perfect safari expedition is usually for 5 to 7 days.

7 DAY – ESSENSE OF TANZANIA SAFARI EXPERIENCE 
Accommodations on safari vary and according to your budget. We stayed in a variety of camps and lodges.
From modest glamping tent camps, to more upscale lodges in our days on safari.
It’s entirely up to you and what you would prefer, that will suit you best for your wants and needs.
Choose a well established safari business such as; Tanzania Footmark Safaris. They have established a solid reputation in the industry, using very experienced and accomplished safari drivers.
Their 4×4 safari vehicles are well maintained and radio controlled, which is very important when hitting these rough and rugged roads.
Be prepared for what they refer to as an … African Massage!
I also recommend a company that accepts credit card deposits and final payments, for extra security and peace of mind. This especially so, if you are dealing with large sums of money.
The roads within the Parks can be very challenging most of the time. They are washboard dirt roads with many potholes. At this time of year, it’s hot during the day and very dusty as well.
This makes for a long day, but the scenery and wildlife make it all worthwhile.
