Our Stay At The Sleep Withinn Sleep Withinn Bangkok Hotel
Our pick for accommodation during our short stay in the City of Bangkok a few seasons back, was as a result of a recommendation received from a friend. This budget friendly hotel is called …
Sleep Withinn
It was ideally located for us, for visiting the many more popular attractions, in the city. The hotel was also very reasonably priced, for what it had to offer its guests.
The Sleep Withinn Bangkok Hotel is located on what used to be a small side street, where young backpackers would gather and rent rooms on the cheap. The street has now flourished and has become a major tourist zone for all types of budget travelers.
On this extremely busy and popular street, you’ll find a mixture of; hotels, guest houses, restaurants, bars, shopping and much more.
The Hotel is located in Bangkok’s – Khaosan Road district.
A Budget Friendly Hotel In Bangkok
The nice thing about this hotel, is that it is conveniently located to the many attractions, Bangkok has to offer. We were able to easily walk to the river front, where you can hop; tour boats and/or affordable boat taxis, to get you around to many parts of the city.
As well, this hotel is within walking distance to the famous Bangkok Grand Palace. This site is certainly one of the {Major Attractions} in Bangkok.
There are lots of taxis and tuk-tuks at your disposal, just outside the front door, of the hotel. If you’re looking for a; convenient, affordable and very clean hotel for your stay in Bangkok, this was a good choice, for us a few seasons ago.
Pros And Cons Of Staying At The Sleep Withinn Bangkok Hotel
The biggest attraction is … location, location, location!
As mentioned above, this hotel is nicely located to the many area attractions, that can be accessed easily by; walking or hiring a; tuk tuk.
Hotel Lobby – Guest Area
The outside of the hotel might look unattractive and slightly intimidating, but the inside, is kept very clean and looks well cared for.
Although the hotel rooms are {very small}, they are well kept and were quite comfortable, for our needs and for our short stay in Bangkok. This goes the same along for the rest of the property. The lobby area, stairways and hallways, all were kept and looked very clean.
Getting Settled In Our Hotel Room
The Lovely Rooftop Swimming Pool
There’s a lovely rooftop outdoor swimming pool, which was great!
It was so nice to spend time poolside, after a long 🥵 hot and humid day, touring the city. Having the rooftop swimming pool at the hotel, really put the icing on the cake for us, when deciding to choose this property, for our few days spent touring Bangkok.
Enjoying a Refreshing Dip in the Rooftop Pool!
Here is a list of what is included in your stay:
Clean/Comfortable Air Conditioned Rooms;
Small Mini Fridge;
In Room Wi-Fi (small fee);
Outdoor Swimming Pool;
Telephone;
Television;
24 Hour Front Desk;
Friendly/Helpful staff.
View of the City from the Rooftop
My only suggestion, is to try and reserve a room at the {rear of the hotel}, if you want; peace and quiet during the evening hours. The main street out front(Rambuttri Road), becomes very noisy at night. There’s loud music from the bars and nightlife on the street, that carries on, to all hours of the night.
There is a convenient 24 hour 7-11 convenience store, attached to the hotel building, which is located next to the front entrance. It was great for purchasing; snacks, beer and other goodies!
Food Extravaganza on Rambuttri Road!
The Sleep Withinn Bangkok Hotel was a perfect stopover hotel for us, for a couple of days. We were in-transit, going to/from our other selected destinations in Thailand. We quickly discovered, this seemed to be the case for the majority of those staying in this area, of the city.
I would Not recommend this hotel for business travelers, or those who may be traveling, with children while enjoying your Family Holidays In Thailand
It is a suitable hotel as mentioned, for a stopover and also great for experiencing; Bangkok’s nightlife and local attractions. All in all, a good pick for a reasonably priced budget hotel, in a very popular tourist zone.
It has been a few years now since our stay. So best to check latest reviews, for updates on this property.
The hotel’s official website can easily be found by doing a quick Google search. For those of you planning a trip to Thailand, I’ve included the official Thailand Tourism website. It has everything you need, for planning your travels to this beautiful country.
Be sure to check out the {Google Map} box at the bottom of this post for Bangkok’s exact location.
