Lanzarote is situated in the Canary Islands {Spanish archipelago}, about 125 kilometers off the coast of Africa. The town of Playa Blanca, once a tiny fishing village, has evolved into a very popular; family friendly beach holiday resort.
Be sure to check out the {Google Map} box at the bottom of this post for the exact location.
I have visited locations on the south tip of Spain, but now wished I had journeyed, a little further into the Canary Islands. Our daughter and her boyfriend also visited Lanzarote a few seasons ago, and said it was stunning!
