With tours running daily from early spring and into fall, selecting a three hour tour, is a terrific way to experience Canada’s west coast, from the sea. It’s a great way to discover and view the amazing marine life, that thrives in this part of the Pacific Ocean.
Of course, the main highlight is an opportunity to view in person, the beautiful; black and white Orca’s, or more commonly referred to as; Killer Whales. These amazing whales thrive, in this part of the world.

Because our daughter was able to join us on this tour and that my wife and I, also enjoy new adventures and excitement, we selected their; high speed zodiac tour.
It was a beautiful sunny summer morning and we were led by our Captain; Tristan. He’s a naturalist who has an obvious passion, for the environment and marine life.
Tristan’s goal on these eco-adventure tours is to; inform and educate everyone, on just how important it is for us, to protect and preserve our ecosystem. This, so we may continue to enjoy and experience what nature and the sea has to offer, for years to come.

Killer Whale Watching – Victoria BC
Following a Pod of Orca Whales
Half the fun on the zodiac boats, is being out in the open air and having the ability, to get where you need to go … Fast!
Your captain may head in any direction out from the inner harbor, on your particular tour. They are in constant contact with others by radio, for recent whale sightings, in a particular area.
Our destination was off to an location known as the; Haro Strait. This borders the San Juan Islands, which is just across the water and a short distance away, in the; State of Washington, USA.
A pod of Orca’s was seen, so we made fast time to catch a glimpse of them!
When we arrived, we weren’t disappointed and were able to follow along with them, for quite some time!
Sea Lions Sunning on the Rocks
After enjoying the view, Tristan then slowly began making our way back from these, small outer islands.
Along the way, making brief scenic stops to view and enjoy other marine life, in the area.
We happened upon a group of sea lions and seals, swimming about and laying on the rocks, sunning themselves.

A Scenic Whale Watching Adventure
Luxurious Waterfront Homes In Victoria BC
As you get closer back towards downtown Victoria, it’s a great view of the city and its, picturesque shoreline. Dotted with beautiful luxurious waterfront homes, the scenery on this boat was incredible!
All in all, it’s a great way to spend 3 hours on the water, enjoying the marine life and, the fantastic views of the city from the sea.
