This outstanding {Brewpub}, has been open in Jasper since 2005 and belongs to the; Bearhill Brewing Family. At that time, it became Canada’s first National Park Brewery.
The founders of this company have successfully brewed some of the {finest craft beer}, since inception.
Today, they continue to offer quality beer and superb 🥪 meals, to their customers.
The Beer At Jasper Brewing Company
🥪 Craft beer has exploded in recent years, especially because of the ever demand for; all natural ingredients.
Not only in the beer we drink, but also what we eat. My wife and I being {Baby Boomers}, have become increasingly aware of the importance, of what we eat and drink these days.
I have always enjoyed a great beer, especially when traveling. I love tasting {local brews}, when visiting new destinations around the world.
In recent years, I have certainly become a; true craft beer lover!
On our visit a few seasons ago and our welcome invite to this Brewpub, my wife and I, had the pleasure of meeting with the Pubs General Manager at the time; Justin and his; Head Brewer; John.
We were also delighted to be given a tour of the brewery on our visit, learning a great deal, about the art and skill brewing; specialty craft beer.

During the tour, John said they use only the {best ingredients} in the beer making process.
From premium hops and malts, combined with their own cultured yeast strains.
The fourth and final ingredient and very unique to Jasper Brewing, is the; pure and natural mountain water, taken from the great Canadian Rockies. Unlike most commercial breweries, they do nothing to the water, except to remove the; chlorine that has been added to it.
The result is {fresh beer}, made with real glacial water and all the minerals that come with it!

We had the opportunity to sample a number of beers in their very popular Sampler Pack. This is something I definitely recommend on your first visit to Jasper Brewing.
Here’s a look at a sample of their great beers and unique names to go along with them;
Sutter Hill Pil, Rockhopper IPA, Jasper the Bear Ale, 6060 Stout,
Blackeye Blueberry Vanilla AleIf beer is not your first beverage choice, not a problem. The cocktail menu is full of great selections.
Great Casual Dining At The Jasper Brewing Co.
The menu is huge, with a variety of choices that I’m sure will please most everyone. From; Classic Burgers, Great Sandwiches, Pasta, Soups & Salads, it’s all here.
Check out what my wife enjoyed on our visit, giving you a sample of just what to expect, when visiting.
Chickpea & Charred Tomato Salad
To begin, we both shared this delicious and huge salad as a recommendation from the; General Manager.
This 🥗 salad also includes; roasted poblano pepper, celery, torn basil leaves, chili oil, almonds, feta cheese and aged balsamic vinaigrette.
A restaurant favorite and easy to tell why, it was delicious!
Rustic Elk Meatloaf
I chose this unique dish, also another top favorite among locals and visiting customers, from out of town.
This is an absolutely huge portion of; 🧆 meatloaf, tomato glazed with bacon, seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes, served with fabulous mushroom gravy. The portion was too big to eat all at once, and made a great leftover meal the next day.
This was an excellent choice, and a great one especially for those with a; hungry man appetite!
Seared Beetroot & Quinoa Burger
My wife selected one of; Jasper Brewing Classics and on the more healthy side as well. This burger is served with; a cashew spread, tamarind and date barbeque sauce, butter lettuce, sprouts, tomato and choice of yam fries on the side.
Another large portion, and very tasty as well!
Pumpkin Creme Brulee
The manager highly suggested we sample one of their signature desserts. We decided to share the; Brulee, as we were just too full, from the large dinner portions.
The Brulee is served with; fresh whipped cream and pie spice.
A great way to finish your meal!
As you can see, the beer is superb, drinks are flowing and the food is excellent. This is a superb {Brewpub Restaurant} in a casual atmosphere, with friendly staff to serve you, each and every day.
We enjoyed meeting the staff, taking the tour and of course, the great food and beer. I am sure you will too!

Update 2025
In the summer of 2024, Jasper experienced a devasting fire, destroying most of this beautiful and historic world renowned town in the Canadian Rockies.
As with most businesses destroyed by the fire, Jasper Brewpub temporarily closed. We are all hoping for a quick recovery from this disaster and the town will once again thrive, with visitors coming from all over the world.
Be sure to check their website for more detailed and up to date information. It has been as few seasons since our visit, so things have surely changed since.
